a m a z i n g
to say the least !

the venue was beautiful
the weather was perfection
and the vendors were seriously wonderful

country living fair 2013 - columbus ohio

 ***
another year at the
county living fair
in columbus ohio
~

insane line as always..
gotta say... no one packs 'em in like
country living

this year was so busy that i really didnt get to talk
to too many people,
but on the last day
i did get a chance to run around and take some pictures

test
test
test

test

here's a little look at my booth at the fair

that's it for the ohio show ..
coming up
city farmhouse in franklin tn
and
country living atlanta !

catching up

well...
it appears that i am
well... lets just say WAY behind in my blogging

so...
it seems to me that easiest way to deal with it is
to just post some slide shows
and go from there..

we have made many a roadtrip in the past few months ..

i'll start with the
Bella Rustica show in
Tennessee

i shared a spot with
bel monili
(as usual)
and it was a gorgeous venue
even with the 90 degree weather

we did a lot of junking on this trip too

and we did see the biggest ever junk shop

seriously ... i have never seen so much square footage of junk in one place !

next up was the country living fair in columbus ...

as always country living fairs deserve their own post ..
so coming soon ...

7 days - 7 states - 700 pictures - day 7

* * *
f i n a l l y
yes, finally i am going to get thru this !!
day 7 !!
the last day of our trip,
we were still in NY city
we wanted to see EVERYTHING
of course,
but with only a few hours left..
what is there to do but
a BUS TOUR !!

yes indeed, we took at Gray Line Sightseeing Tour

you really can see a LOT from up on the top of a double decker bus

like the multitudes of people roaming the streets at 5 o'clock !

if you never rode on a double decker bus...
they really are fairly high,
we could have reached up and touched the stop light !!
had to duck a few times !

anyway... just bringing you along on the tour

scaffolding EVERYWHERE in the city ...

signs that are 7 stories (yep..count it) high !

cool buildings

amazing architecture

famous allies
(we were told many movie chase scenes were filmed in this one !)

china town

complicated signs ... what would you do if you werent wearing a watch ?

insane graffiti you could only see from this high up ~
(we were crossing a bridge at this point)
can you say - petrified ~!!
i am deathly scared of heights ... yeah ..my heart was pounding
and i was hanging on for dear life !

beautiful view of the river and the cityscape

they do have a LOT of trash in NY

penalty for honking ???
we dont have that here in the 'burgh

water towers on top of every building
some more decorative than others

i took a pic of these apt buildings..
just to say ..
look how many apartments there are..
in one small section...
just imagine how many people live in this small area !! wow !

and for those who dont know..
they pile up their cars here..
there is not enough room for parking ...
so they just stack them up ~~
look close... see the blue lines
there are cars stacked up inside there !

i love the graphicness of fire escapes !!

well..........

that's it ..
7 days, 7 states and although i didnt show you all,
700 photos !!

it was quite an experience...
we can pack as much into a vacation
as we can pack into my little truck !!

hope you enjoyed the ride...

now maybe i will get caught up ..
since this trip ...
we've made a few more...
nashville.... columbus ..... i really need to get to it !!

til next time ...

7 days - 7 states - 700 pictures - day 6

* * *
yes, i am well aware that it's been
ridiculously long since i have posted...

but in my defense ... i've been traveling
doing shows ... having fun ..
sorry...

regardless.... i am back and have to finish my 7 days posts
because it was such a good time,
i cant let it go undocumented ...

then i plan to get caught up ...i promise ...

- - -

we jumped right out of the show ... and drove straight toward NEW YORK !!!
state # 6

the drive was brutal !!
lucky for me ..it was Lucy's turn to drive ..haha...

GPS was pretty much useless !

our friend Ang ..was a life safer...
she hooked us up at a hotel in Rahway NJ
(there you go ...state #7 !)

the Indigo is a perfect place to stay if you want to go to the city
and you have NO idea what you are doing ....

look what's right across the street !

that would be a train station
for those (like me) who would
not know that !

Ang met us for breakfast and a quick
'train into the city' lesson !

havent been on a train since i was a little girl ..
strange.... since these folks do it every day to go to work,
but it was fun for us !

but when we hit the city ... we were on our own !

we had one day ...
and an itinerary !!

and a map ..haha

it was about 90 degrees ... yeah in the city .... full of people
and we had to trek from one end to the other to fulfill
what we came to do !!

first stop
fashion district !

we were headed to a place we had only read about online...but looked amazing...
it did not dissapoint ...in fact it far exceeded our expectations
can you say ... overwhelmed ?

it was remember 90 degrees .... and no air in this place ...yikes ..it was HOT ...
we climbed, we sorted, we were losing our minds .... and we were on a schedule ...

needless to say ...we did leave with a haul and a promise to ourselves to come back again !

if you ever get a chance to go ...
(wholesale only)
hook up with Elyse .. the owner...
elyse@cjssales.com
let her know you're coming and she'll take good care of you
_ _ _

our next stop .... as we tried to take in the city  ...

while we were in Rhinebeck for the Country Living Fair,
we were personally invited to tour the
Country Living Magazine offices ...
certainly couldnt pass that up !

beautiful building
(can you tell we were a bit excited!)
(and a tad exhausted ..haha)

- -

i love how they make use of all their space !

- - -

i'm not sure what was more heady ...
actually being in the Country Living offices
(yeah ..i'm a geek)
or the view from up there !

and this my friends ... just took my breath away ...
can you imagine looking at this out your window
every day at work ??

yes...this is for real...i took this ...with old crappy camera !
it is the entire of central park
yep...awesome doesnt cover it !

 - - -

well ...now...off to find something to eat
before our last stop before we had to leave this fair city

random photos on our walk

i have a thing for the graphicness of many fire escapes
& there are a LOT in New York

pink box truck ..um ..yeah

need a bike ?
they have a few...

and below... dont ask .... just made me laugh ... i dont get it  ??
sorry, but who would pay what i can only imagine was a LOT of money
to have this made and put in your lobby ?

yes, i know...it's kind of like looking at someone's vacation slides...
but come on ...it's
NEW YORK !

next post .... our double decker bus tour !!
whoo hoo !!!
